Hope of Winston Salem Inc

H.O.P.E. of Winston-Salem works at the intersection of children's health and food insecurity. We are dedicated to providing nutritious meals to children at risk of hunger and fresh produce to adults residing in food-insecure households. This is to be accomplished through community-wide volunteer support, partnerships with the business, faith and education communities and collaboration with peer nonprofit organizations. Distribution of meals and fresh produce are done on a weekly basis at 29 different distribution sites throughout Winston-Salem.

The mission of Greensboro Urban Ministry is to express the love of God to our neighbors in need by offering food, shelter and solutions.

A Simple Gesture Greensboro Inc

A Simple Gesture- Greensboro engages the community to end hunger in Guilford County, NC. We do that by offering three programs: Green Bag Food Donor, Food Recovery and SHARE school refrigerators. Green Bag Food Donor - individual donors fill a reusable green grocery bag with donated nonperishable food. On a designated Saturday of the month, donors leave their filled bag on their porch and a volunteer picks it up and delivers it directly to one of our food pantry partners. Food Recovery - food industry businesses (grocery stores and restaurants) donate their wholesome surplus food to our vetted nonprofits serving meals to the community. SHARE - a food recovery program in our public schools in which unopened leftover food from the School Nutrition Prgm is shared with all students.
